Customer-owned systems

Bought the lights already? Start with compatibility.

Before installation is discussed, the exact product, components, coverage and property conditions need to be reviewed.

What to provide

A customer-owned system review starts with facts. Send the manufacturer and model, available kit footage, component list, installation instructions and clear photos of the property.

Product details

Include links or photos showing the exact product and every component you have. Similar-looking systems can require different spacing, power, extensions, controllers and mounting methods.

Roofline and access

Share front and angled photos showing soffits, fascia, peaks, heights, landscaping and obstacles. The available kit must be compared with the coverage you want.

Acceptance is not automatic

Owning a system does not guarantee that it is compatible with the property, desired layout or proposed installation. Any accepted work, exclusions and responsibilities must be stated in the written scope.

Helpful information for the first review

  • Exact manufacturer, model and purchase link
  • Kit length and component inventory
  • Installation manual or product instructions
  • Complete property address and exterior photos
  • Roofline sections you expect the kit to cover

Do not open, alter or permanently attach components solely for this review. A compatibility request is not an acceptance of the product or installation.
